CHICAGO (Oct. 14, 2024) – On the heels of the recently-announced 2024-25 UIC men's and women's basketball schedules, single-game tickets for the upcoming Flames basketball campaigns at Credit Union 1 Arena are now on sale. UIC consistently offers some of the most affordable family-friendly entertainment of any athletics program in the Chicagoland market, clearly living up to its role as Chicago's College Team.
Â
The UIC men will play 15 home games this season, including matchups with Yale, Bradley, Drake, Indiana State, Illinois State and Southern Illinois, while the Flames' women have 16 games scheduled for the friendly confines of Credit Union 1 Arena, highlighted by marquee non-conference home games with 2023 national champion LSU and Big 12 member Cincinnati, as well as a high-powered MVC schedule.
Â
The full 2024-25 UIC men's basketball schedule can be found
here, while the Flames' women's basketball schedule is listed
here. The majority of tipoff times and broadcast information for both programs will be released shortly.
UIC men's basketball enters a new era this fall under first-year head coach
Rob Ehsan, who brings with him a fresh, exciting new look that features 11 newcomers who make up one of the highest-ranked incoming classes in the Missouri Valley Conference. UIC will also bring back two veteran starters in senior forward and preseason All-MVC selection
Filip Skobalj (Belgrade, Serbia/Don Bosco-Schule Rostock), who averaged a career-high 8.2 ppg. and ranked second in the MVC with a .418 three-point percentage (.467 in conference games, leading all 2024-25 MVC returnees in both categories), and senior guard
Ethan Pickett (Pensacola, Fla./Cherokee/Triton), who added 6.0 ppg. and was second on the team with a .533 field-goal percentage last season.
Â
UIC women's basketball is a team on the rise following two successful seasons under head coach
Ashleen Bracey. Last year, the Flames went 18-16, earning the program's second consecutive postseason tournament berth (fourth in school history) and its first WNIT appearance since 2007. UIC has also posted back-to-back winning seasons under Bracey (19-17 in 2022-23 with a trip to the Women's Basketball Invitational), a feat the Flames hadn't accomplished in a decade (2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons). UIC will have nearly its entire roster back this season, including its starting five and 11 total returnees, led by preseason all-conference graduate student forward
Keimari Rimmer (Chicago, Ill./Proviso East/DePaul), senior wing and last year's leading scorer
Makiyah Williams (Chicago, Ill./Trinity/Marquette) and graduate student forward
Jaida McCloud (Peoria, Ill./Richwoods), who is ninth on the program's career scoring list with 1,352 points.
