Men’s Soccer Drops Friday Night Match Against Belmont

Flames Out-Shoot Bruins 17-6 in Physical Defeat

CHICAGO (Oct. 18, 2024) – The UIC men's soccer team (6-5, 2-2 MVC) returned home to Flames Field Friday night, as it welcomed Belmont (3-7-3, 0-4-1 MVC) for a showdown under the lights.

After a quiet first half with just one shot on goal combined for both teams, the Bruins took a lead early in the second frame on a headed goal in the 57th minute. Despite some late chances on offense, the Flames were unable to tally the equalizer, dropping the match by a 1-0 final score.
