CHICAGO (Nov 1, 2024) – The UIC men's soccer team (6-8, 2-4 MVC) rounded out the home portion of its 2024 regular season home schedule Friday night, as it hosted Bradley (4-7-3, 1-4-1 MVC) in a crucial Missouri Valley Conference match with valuable standings points on the line.
Both sides battled to a scoreless first 45 minutes, as the two sides combined for just five shots on goal in the first half, without much of a scare for either side. The Flames came out strong in the second half, netting the match's first goal in the 60
th minute on a beautiful strike from
Brian Perez (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Buffalo Grove).
Bart Muns (Amsterdam, Netherlands) doubled the Flames' advantage off his own rebound, and the Flames cruised to a 2-0 win.
