Chicago, Ill. (February 14, 2024) – UIC head men's soccer coach Sean Phillips announced his Chicago-based summer soccer camp program for 2024 Wednesday.  This will be the 18^th summer that Coach Phillips has operated soccer day camps in Chicago on the campus of UIC.
 
Coach Phillips has over 20 years of collegiate soccer coaching experience at the Division 1 level and over 20 years of coaching and operating soccer camps for players of all ages and levels, 16 of those years in Chicago.  The camp staff is comprised of his UIC coaching staff, current and former players from the UIC men's and women's soccer programs and other select Chicago area coaches.
 
Sean Phillips Soccer Day Camp held at UIC is designed for boys and girls ages 4-14 at the time of camp.  There are four individual one-week sessions offered between the dates of June 10^th through July 12^th.  Each week has a morning half-day option and full-day option as well as early drop off and late pick up options.
 
The half-day option, available to campers who are 4-14 at the time of camp, is held from 9:00 am-12:00 p.m.  The full-day option, available to campers who are 5-14 at the time of camp, is held from 9:00 am-4:00 pm.  Early drop-off is available beginning at 7:45 am.  Late pick-up is available until 5:30 pm each day of camp.
 
"Our goal for day camp is to create a fun and safe environment where each player improves their skills and learns more about the game with their friends, old and new, for one week or multiple weeks," commented Phillips. "Teaching is done through technical training and game-based activities such as soccer tennis, small sided and larger sided games throughout the day with the mindset that the game belongs to the kids."
 
Sean Phillips Soccer also offers a one-day college prep camp on Tuesday, June 11^th.  This program is designed for high school or junior college males who aspire to play college soccer as well as 4-year transfer prospective student-athletes.
 
On July 15^th and 16^th, coaches Sean Phillips and Stan Anderson will offer the Sean Phillips Soccer Camp Shutout Roadshow.  This two-day camp is designed to expose boys and girls aged 10 – 18 to the technical and tactical aspects of the goalkeeper position.
