Greenwood, Ind. – Two members of the UIC men's soccer team and six members of the women's soccer team were recognized for their success both on and off the field Tuesday morning as they were named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® team.
Senior midfielder
Rui Reis and junior midfielder
Darrell Turcios represented the men's side, while senior forward Riley Collet, senior forward
Bella Baker, senior midfielder
Hannah Gryzik, graduate midfielder
Katelyn Nardulli, senior midfielder
Chopper Carriere, and sophomore defender
Marinna Campos represented the women's side.
Collet and Gryzik have earned CSC Academic All-District recognition for the third straight year, while Baker earned her second recognition in three years eligible.
UIC's eight student-athletes were selected by College Sports Communicators and are recognized as part of the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance in the classroom and on the field.
To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a sophomore or higher in academic eligibility, carry a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), and must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games/contests or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games/contests.
