CHICAGO (March 25, 2024) – The UIC baseball team (15-7, 2-1 MVC) returns home on short rest Tuesday night, as it will play host to Milwaukee (2-18, 1-5 Horizon) for the second time in the 2024 season. The Flames got the best of the Panthers in the first match-up, winning a 10-7 decision in a game that saw UIC blast 15 hits.

FLAMES FACTS
- UIC enters its lone mid-week contest Tuesday as winner of five of its last six games, including winning two games over the weekend to earn the series victory over Belmont. The Flames also most recently took a victory in the mid-week over Purdue on the road on March 20. Over the last two seasons, the Flames boast a .800 winning percentage against opponents in Power 5 conferences.
- UIC currently leads the Missouri Valley conference in team batting average, possessing a .310 mark as a group. Three Flames rank in the top-10 in the MVC in batting average, including Zane Zielinski (.410), Pambos Nicoloudes (.395), and Jackson Bessette (.367). Both Zielinski and Kendall Ewell have reached base in all 22 of UIC's games in the 2024 season.
- Bessette leads all Flames with 12 multi-hit games this season. Rayth Petersen currently has the longest active hitting streak for UIC, currently riding a season-long six game hitting streak.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
- Milwaukee enters the week with a 2-18 overall record, and a 1-5 record in Horizon League play after dropping three straight games over the weekend to Northern Kentucky on the road.
- Sean Tillmon continues to lead the way offensively for the Panthers, posting a .303 batting average in 19 starts this year. Milwaukee ranks sixth of six teams in the Horizon League in team batting average.
