FLAMES FACTS
  • UIC enters the week following a strong week of non-conference action, winning three of four contests including a series victory over Ohio in Athens Saturday and Sunday.
  • The Flames currently rank third in The Valley with a team batting average of .301. Jackson Bessette (Bartlett, Ill./South Elgin) tops the MVC in individual batting average (.452), ranking five points higher than the next closest average.
  • Dillon Schueler (Rock Falls, Ill./Rock Falls) ranks fourth among qualifying pitchers in the MVC with a 1.80 earned run average.
  • Zane Zielinski (Chicago, Ill./Lake View) had a monster week at the plate last week, hitting two home runs and driving in five in four games played.

SCOUTING MILWAUKEE
  • The Panthers have been road warriors through the first three weeks of the season, making two separate trips to California and a trip to Texas. Milwaukee is still in search of its first victory of the season, having been swept by Fresno State, UTRGV, and most recently Long Beach State over the weekend.
  • Sean Tillmon leads the way offensively for the Panthers, as his .355 average is the only Milwaukee hitter currently batting over .300 on the year.

Tuesday's game will be the first UIC home game broadcast on ESPN+ this season, with Peter Ferreri on the call for play-by-play. The ESPN+ broadcast will be simulcast as an audio-only stream free-of-charge on the Flames Network, and live stats will also be available.
