SCOUTING UNI
- The Panthers hold an 11-3 lead in the overall series with UIC. The Flames aim to collect their first win over UNI since a 7-0 victory at Florida State's Seminole Invitational in Tallahassee, Fla., on March 17, 1995. UIC is also seeking its first win over UNI in Cedar Falls since April 2, 1993 (a 6-2 victory at the UNI-Dome Tournament).
- UNI has tallied nine wins in Missouri Valley Conference play this season, with series wins against Southern Illinois, Drake, Belmont and Missouri State. The Panthers sit in third place in the conference entering the weekend.
- Sophomore Alexis Pupillo leads the MVC with 13 home runs this year, along with a team-best .316 batting average.
- Redshirt senior Samantha Heyer has gone 10-6 in the circle for the Panthers, recording a team-leading 2.34 ERA this year.

LAST TIME OUT: INDIANA STATE
- UIC won its fourth consecutive MVC series last weekend, taking two of three games from Indiana State at Flames Field.
- Redshirt junior Alyssa McIntosh (Lancaster, Calif./Lancaster) pitched 13.1 innings, collecting back-to-back victories in the circle. In last Saturday's 4-1 victory over the Sycamores, McIntosh threw a complete game, striking out three and scattering six hits in a 101-pitch performance. Less than 24 hours later, McIntosh entered the circle midway through the first inning and went the final 6.1 innings, holding the Sycamores to three hits, striking out three and not allowing a run in her relief appearance.
- Redshirt freshman Jazmyn Casas (Berwyn, Ill./Taft) batted .500 over the weekend, tallying four hits and three RBI.
- Junior Hailey Cowing (Torrance, Calif./West Torrance) collected her sixth multi-hit game in Sunday's 6-3 victory.
- Freshmen Cameran Rios (Effingham, Ill./St. Anthony) has collected a hit in seven of the past eight games, finishing the series against the Sycamores with two hits and an RBI in Sunday's win.
