CHICAGO (April 29, 2024) – The UIC baseball team (27-13, 11-7 MVC) will round out its eight-game home-stand this week, as it welcomes Northwestern (13-26, 2-13 B1G) to Les Miller Field at Curtis Granderson Stadium on Tuesday night. The Flames and Wildcats will meet for their second and final time in the 2024 season, with UIC getting the better of Northwestern 18-5 in seven innings on April 9.

FLAMES FACTS
- UIC is currently 5-2 on its season-long eight-game home-stand, part of an impressive 16-3 overall record in the South Loop.
- The Flames currently rank in the top 70 in National RPI and boast an 11-3 record in the month of April.
- Despite a slower offensive weekend for the Flames, UIC still ranks first in the Missouri Valley Conference in team batting average this year (.301). The Flames are currently just one game back of second place in the conference behind Evansville, who will host UIC during the final weekend series of the season May 16-18.
- Kendal Ewell (Calumet City, Ill./Kentucky) ranks in the top five in the MVC in nearly every offensive category this season, including batting average (.361), slugging percentage (.677), and RBI (48).
