CHICAGO (May 15, 2024) – The UIC baseball team (32-16, 15-9 MVC) closes out the regular season this weekend, as the Flames travel to the Hoosier State for a three-game series against Evansville (29-22, 15-9 MVC). The series is set to begin Thursday night from German American Bank Field and all three games of the series are scheduled to air on ESPN+. UIC will remain in Evansville following its weekend series for the beginning of the 2024 Missouri Valley Conference Baseball Championship, slated to open May 21 from German American Bank Field.

- UIC enters the crucial last weekend of conference play 6-4 in its last 10 games, and in a tie for second place with the Purple Aces heading to their home field.
- The Flames surpassed the 30-win total on May 11, the earliest they have done so since the 2017 season.
- Kendal Ewell continues to put up impressive numbers offensively, as the grad transfer from Kentucky has reached base safely in all 48 games for UIC this season. He ranks first in the MVC in batting average at .397 and is one home run shy of tying the UIC single-season record (20).
