CHICAGO (May 2, 2024) – Winners of eight of its last 10, the UIC baseball team (28-13, 11-7 MVC) heads back out on the road this weekend, as the Flames take on Bradley (12-29-1, 5-13 MVC) in a three-game series in Peoria, Ill.

FLAMES FACTS

• The Flames return to Missouri Valley Conference play this weekend, as they look to continue climbing the MVC standings, currently sitting in third place.

• Kendal Ewell (Calumet City, Ill./Kentucky) continues to pace the Flames' offense this season, ranking in the top five in the MVC in nearly every offensive category, including batting average (.366), slugging percentage (.683) and on-base percentage (.472). Ewell has also reached base in all 41 of UIC's games this season.

• Saturday starter Brandon Bak (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) ranks in the top ten in The Valley in earned run average with a 4.59 mark on the year.

• The Flames rank first in The Valley in batting average (.300), a number that ranks 54th in the NCAA this season.
