CHICAGO (Aug. 2, 2024) – The UIC men's basketball team will take on defending Ivy League Tournament champion and NCAA Tournament second-round participant Yale as part of the University's annual Homecoming week on Friday, Nov. 8 at Credit Union 1 Arena. Tipoff time for the matchup between the Flames and Bulldogs will be announced at a later date.
Prior to the game, UIC Athletics will partner with the UIC Center for Student Involvement and UIC Alumni Association to hold a special tailgate event for fans in the parking lots immediately across Harrison Street from Credit Union 1 Arena. Food, beverages, games and special giveaways will be part of this unique celebration of UIC basketball, with additional details to come in the weeks leading up to the start of the 2024-25 season.
"This is such an ideal way to celebrate UIC and what makes our Flames Family so special," said first-year head coach
Rob Ehsan. "Yale will be a great test for us and we're looking forward to that opportunity. I also want to challenge our alumni, students and fans to make their plans right away, get fired up and be ready to bring a legendary atmosphere to Credit Union 1 Arena on Nov. 8!"
