CHICAGO (Aug. 24, 2024) – The UIC women's soccer team is preparing for its first road trip of the regular season, heading to West Lafayette, Indiana, to take on Purdue. The Flames kick off against the Boilermakers on Sunday at noon. The contest will be streamed on the Big Ten Network, along with live stats.

LAST TIME OUT
UIC faced a tough match against Eastern Michigan on Thursday night. Sophomore Emmy Higgins (Evansville, Ind./Castle) put the Flames on the board in the 13th minute. Shelsea Rigby (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) followed up in the 47th minute with a defensive play that quickly turned into an offensive chance. The defender stripped the ball from Eastern Michigan and scored her first collegiate goal, giving her team a two-goal advantage.

The Flames led for most of the match, but two goals from Eastern Michigan within 13 minutes of each other tied the score. Eastern Michigan then secured the win with a late goal.
