WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Aug. 25, 2024) – The UIC women's soccer team came up short in a 2-0 loss to Purdue in Sunday's matinee. The Boilermakers netted a goal in each half to secure the victory over the Flames at Folk Field.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Purdue outshot UIC 15-5 and held an 8-5 advantage in corner kicks.
- The Boilermakers' offense kept the Flames' defense on their toes, with goalkeeper Lauren Keiser (Santa Rosa Beach, Fla./South Walton) recording five saves in 90 minutes of action.
- UIC's only shot on goal came in the 82nd minute from junior midfielder Hannah Gryzik (Elk Grove Village, Ill./Elk Grove).

The Flames will continue their road stretch against Marquette on Thursday, Aug. 29. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Valley Fields in Milwaukee, Wis.
