LAST TIME OUT
UIC fell short in a 2-0 loss to Purdue in a Sunday matinee on Aug. 25. The Boilermakers scored a goal in each half to secure the win over the Flames at Folk Field. Purdue's offense pressured the Flames' defense, with goalkeeper Lauren Keiser (Santa Rosa Beach, Fla./South Walton) making five saves in 90 minutes. UIC's lone shot on goal came in the 82nd minute from junior midfielder Hannah Gryzik (Elk Grove Village, Ill./Elk Grove).

SCOUTING MARQUETTE
Marquette (0-3-1) has struggled offensively this season. The Golden Eagles dropped their opener to Colorado (3-0), tied with Kansas City (1-1), and most recently lost to Northwestern (2-0) and Western Michigan (3-0). Senior forward Kate Gibson scored Marquette's lone goal this season in the tie with the Roos.

The all-time record between the Flames and Golden Eagles stands at 1-1-1. The teams first met in 2021, with UIC falling 1-0. Last season, the Flames secured a 3-0 shutout, marking the program's first win against a BIG EAST opponent.

SCOUTING MILWAUKEE
Milwaukee (0-3) has yet to secure a win in its 2024 campaign. The Panthers have dropped matches against Xavier (4-2), No. 18 Ohio State (4-0), and Missouri Valley Conference opponent Valparaiso (2-1). Before facing the Flames on Sunday, Milwaukee will play a Thursday match against Minnesota. Three Panthers have scored this season: senior midfielder Lainey Higgins, sophomore forward Emily Petring, and redshirt junior defender Elizabeth Reece.

The Flames and Panthers have met eight times, with the most recent match in 2021. Milwaukee holds an 8-0 advantage in the all-time series.
