CHICAGO (Jan. 24, 2025) – The UIC women's tennis team kicked off their 2025 campaign with an impressive 5-2 victory over Marquette at XS Tennis Village on Friday. The Flames set the tone for the season by winning five of six singles matches, delivering a statement performance to open the year.

Securing the first match of the season is a significant milestone for the team, providing a strong foundation and positive momentum as they embark on their journey through the spring schedule. With this result, the Flames are firmly on the right track to achieving their goals for 2025.

The Flames will return to action on Saturday for a highly anticipated match up against cross-town rival DePaul at XS Tennis Village.
