CHICAGO (Oct. 17, 2025) – UIC has announced the full slate of broadcast (TV/radio) coverage plans for its 2025-26 men's and women's basketball seasons that get underway in the coming weeks. Tipoff times for all games, as well as game promotions will be announced shortly.

At press time, nearly all regular-season UIC basketball games will be televised on either ESPN+ or part of the Missouri Valley Conference television package. Both Flames' squads will also make at least two linear television appearance this season on Marquee Sports Network as part of UIC's new agreement with the Chicago-based network, appearing in approximately three million homes across six Midwestern states — the UIC men will play host to Northern Iowa on Dec. 17 at 4 p.m. (CT) and Evansville on Jan. 20 at 7 p.m. (CT), while the Flames' women will welcome Big Ten Conference foe Wisconsin to town on Nov. 19 (7 p.m. CT) and Chicagoland rival DePaul on Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. (CT).

In addition, the UIC men will have their New Year's Day matchup against Murray State at Credit Union 1 Arena (8 p.m. CT), as well as their Jan.13 road game at Northern Iowa (6 p.m. CT), broadcast live on the MVC TV Network, a combination of Gray Media-owned and non-Gray affiliated over-the-air stations within the Valley footprint. A handful of additional UIC men's and women's basketball games will air as part of The Valley on ESPN package, produced by UIC Athletics broadcasting unit and distributed through ESPN+ via the ESPN app.

What's more, the MVC has designated several UIC men's and women's basketball conference games for possible broadcast by ESPN networks, CBS Sports Network, the MVC TV Network or The Valley on ESPN. The official TV clearances for those games will come no later than 14 days prior to their respective tipoffs.

For those fans who do not have subscriptions to ESPN+, the Flames Radio Network is another outstanding option to follow UIC basketball, as it is accessible worldwide and can be heard free of charge through the official UIC athletics website, UICFlames.com. All UIC home basketball games (men's and women's) will air live on the Flames Network this season.

The UIC men and women will open their season Nov. 3 with the first of three home doubleheaders this season at Credit Union 1 Arena. The Flames' women will tip off their campaign at 4 p.m. (CT) against Robert Morris, followed by the UIC men at 7 p.m. (CT) against Detroit Mercy.

UIC is beginning its second season under head coach Rob Ehsan, and fourth as an MVC member, following a solid showing in 2024-25 when the Flames finished with a 17-14 record and tied for fifth place in the conference standings. Under Ehsan's leadership, UIC also had its best regular-season winning percentage (.567) since 2004 and picked up four Quad 1-2 wins (second-best in the Valley). What's more, the Flames posted five wins over teams that competed in the postseason, including victories over Drake, Yale, Bradley and Illinois State, and they produced UIC's second-highest scoring offense (76.0 ppg. – fourth in MVC) in the past 30 years.

Ashleen Bracey has taken UIC women's basketball to new heights in her first three years as head coach, leading the Flames to back-to-back-to-back postseason tournament appearances including WNIT berths the past two seasons. Last year, Bracey helped UIC to a 15-win campaign and a seventh-place MVC finish before claiming the program's first-ever WNIT win with an opening-round victory over UAB in front of a tremendous crowd at Credit Union 1 Arena.
