Normal, Ill. – Coming off their first Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) win, the UIC women's soccer team sets their focus on the Illinois State Redbirds for a road contest. Kick-off between the Flames (5-6-3, 1-2-2 MVC) and Redbirds (5-4-6, 2-0-3 MVC) is set for 4:00 p.m. on Adelaide Street Field. Livestream will be available on ESPN+ while live stats will be available on UICFlames.com.

HISTORY VS ILLINOIS STATE
This will mark the seventh all-time meeting between the Flames and Redbirds, with UIC leading the series 4-2. The Flames have previously won the last four matches, with the latest coming on November 3^rd, 2024, at home in the MVC quarterfinals, where the Flames defeated the Redbirds 4-2. Riley Collett, Kaysey Castro, and Hannah Gryzik all found the back of the net. 
 
LAST MATCH RECAP
The Flames picked up their first MVC win last week on Saturday against the Drake Bulldogs. Emmy Higgins lifted the Flames to a 1-0 victory with her first goal of the season off a rocket outside the 18-yard box in the 72^nd minute. E. Higgins and Sophia Jaime led the Flames in shots with two and shots on goal with one apiece.
