CHICAGO – The UIC volleyball team (13-7, 6-3 MVC) continued its winning ways Friday night, sweeping Southern Illinois (10-13, 4-5 MVC) in front of a loud Credit Union 1 Arena crowd to close out the fifth week of Missouri Valley Conference play.
Senior
Ayat Amin led the Flames with 11 kills and added two blocks in the win. Fellow senior
Cleo Lorenzo followed with 10 kills and seven digs, while senior Â
Julieta Sandez contributed seven kills on an impressive .636 hitting percentage.
