Women’s Soccer to take on SIU

Flames to travel to Carbondale for fourth MVC match

Carbondale, Ill. – The UIC women's soccer team is back on the road to take on Southern Illinois Salukis for its fourth Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) season.  The Flames (4-5-3, 0-1-2 MVC) and Salukis (8-2-2, 2-1 MVC) will kick off at 1:00 p.m. CT inside the Lew Hartzog Track & Field Complex. The live stream will be available on ESPN+, while live stats will be available on UICFlames.com.

HISTORY VS SIU
This will mark the fourth all-time meeting between the Flames and Beacons, with UIC leading the series 2-0-1. In their last meeting on October 3rd, 2024, the Flames and Salukis battled to a nil-nil draw in Chicago. Sophia Jaime led the team with seven shots, four on goal. 
 
LAST MATCH RECAP
The Flames picked up their second 1-1 conference tie on Sunday when they hosted Valparaiso on Flames Field. Bella Baker scored the game-tying goal in the 61st minute to end the game in a draw.
