Swimming and Diving Prepares for IU Indy’s House of Champions Meet

The three-day meet starts Thursday.

INDIANAPOLIS – The UIC swimming and diving team is traveling to Indianapolis for the three-day House of Champions meet hosted by IU Indy. This will be the final meet for the Flames in 2025, with the teams not competing again until January.

FLAMES FACTS - 2024 HOUSE OF CHAMPIONSHIP MEET
  • This will be the 5th consecutive season the Flames will attend IU Indy's House of Champions meet. A season ago, the women's team placed fourth, while the men placed fifth.
  • The Flames saw 20 different top eight finishes, a dozen top three finishes, numerous post season berths and  several records broken.
  • In the meet last season, senior Harrison Nolan won the one-meter diving event and, the platform diving event, making an NCAA Zones C scoring 349.25 points.
  • For the women, Graduate Kendra Preski broke the school record in the 100 backstroke and placed second.
 
DUAL MEET RECAP - MILWAUKEE
 
  • The women's team beat the Panthers 161.5–138.5, while the men's team fell short 203–94.
  • Junior Molly Kroeger earned wins in the 200 freestyle (1:53.34) and 500 freestyle (5:07.74). On the diving board, senior Kerry-Leigh Morrison won the three-meter diving (270.38) and one-meter diving (265.58) events. Morrison earned her second Missouri Valley Conference Women's Diver of the Week honor this season for her performance.
  • Freshman Jay Stewart took home three second place finishes in the 50 freestyle (20.62), 100 freestyle (49.09) and the 200 freestyle relay (1:23.91). Stewart earned MVC Men's Freshman of the Week honors for the second time this season for his performance.
  • Junior Christian Curtis swept the diving events scoring 341.25 points on the three-meter board and 329.55 points on the one-meter board. Curtis earned his first career MVC weekly award for his performance, being named MVC Men's Diver of the Week.
