BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- This was the 950th all-time win in the 79 seasons of UIC men's basketball.
- UIC finished third or better at its annual MTE (multi-team event) for the third time in the past four seasons. The Flames were runner-ups at the 2022 Tom Konchalski Classic (hosted by Fordham) and the 2023 Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship (held in Nassau, Bahamas).
- Henderson recorded his eighth career 20-point game, third in a Flames' uniform and second this season (23 points against Detroit Mercy on Nov. 3 at Credit Union 1 Arena).
- Henderson made a career-high 14-of-15 free throws, the most made foul shots by a UIC player since Nov. 14, 2022, when Tre Anderson went 15-of-20 from the line in a win over Jacksonville State at Credit Union 1 Arena.
- Lowery logged his fifth career double-double and second in a row, following his 15-point/10-rebound effort against High Point on Thursday. He is the first UIC player with double-doubles in consecutive games since Jan. 11-18, 2025, when Saša Ciani had three straight double-doubles against Bradley, Murray State and Valparaiso.
- Graduate student forward Abdul Momoh earned his first start of the season and registered seven points and three blocks, the second game in a row and third time this season he has posted multiple blocked shots in a game (he had a season-high four rejections on Thursday against High Point).
- UIC and Southern Indiana were meeting for the first time in nearly 46 years (since Jan. 16, 1980 - predating both programs' move to NCAA Division I). The Flames are now 3-2 all-time against the Screaming Eagles (1-0 at neutral sites).
UP NEXT: ROBERT MORRIS
UIC winds up its four-game road swing next Wednesday, Nov. 26, when the Flames travel to suburban Pittsburgh for a 1 p.m. CT (2 p.m. ET) matinee against another former Horizon League opponent, Robert Morris.
