CHICAGO – The UIC women's basketball team (5-5, 1-0 MVC) returns home after a five-game road trip to take on DePaul (3-9, 0-2 Big East) at Credit Union 1 Arena Wednesday night in nonconference action. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. (CT).

Ticketmaster. UIC students with a valid school ID will receive free admission.
This game will conclude with a doubleheader at Credit Union 1 Arena with men's basketball. Fans in attendance wearing an Ugly Christmas Sweater will have a discounted ticket. There will also be a Teddy Bear Toss taking place during halftime, where fans will be invited to throw a donated teddy bear onto the court to be given to a child in need.

SCOUTING DEPAUL
- This will be the 45th match-up between the programs, and the first one at home for UIC since Nov. 23, 2010. The Flames look to aim to return to the win column for the first time since 1981.
- The Blue Demons fell short against No. 25 Michigan State Sunday afternoon at home, 90-56, DePaul went toe-to-toe in the opening couple minutes before letting up a 13-0 run that stretched over four minutes in the first quarter.
- Junior Shakara McCline led the Blue Demons in scoring off the bench with 12, all of which came from beyond the arc. Redshirt freshman Alayna West was second in scoring off the bench with nine.
- McCline last season averaged 4.5 points per game while shooting 30% from the field and 22% from downtown. The Blue Demons struggled to get the ball down, going 30% from the field and under 20% from three.
LAST GAME RECAP – AT VALPARAISO
- The Flames led this one from start to finish, scoring an outstanding 24 points in the fourth quarter to seal the victory at Valparaiso, 61-44 to open Missouri Valley Conference play on Dec. 7, 2025.
- Off the bench, graduate student Crystal Ortiz knocked down 17 points while taking away six rebounds and a pair of steals.
- Redshirt sophomore Julia Coleman scored 10 of her 15 points in the fourth quarter, whilst snagging four boards and a steal.
- The Flames defense held the Beacons to under 30% from the field and beyond the arc, making it one of the most impressive wins of the 2025-26 season.
