CHICAGO – For the first time since 1981, the UIC women's basketball team (6-5, 1-0 MVC) earned the hard-fought victory against DePaul (3-10, 0-2 Big EAST) in front of the home crowd at Credit Union 1 Arena, 77-67, snapping a 36-game losing streak.
Redshirt-sophomore
Julia Coleman scored a career-high 29 points, grabbed eight rebounds and collected a pair of blocks. Senior
Jessica Carrothers contributed 24 points and five assists with 23 minutes off the bench. Redshirt-freshman
Magdalena Winter collected another double-double, with 11 points and 10 boards.

- Carrothers and Coleman's 20-plus point outings marked UIC's first 20-point scoring duo since Taylor Toney (26) and Brittany Byrd (21) led a 67–51 victory over Purdue Fort Wayne on Nov. 21, 2017.
- Winter recorded her second double-double of the season, last posting a 10-point, 10-rebound performance in the 64–54 win over Maine.
- The Flames shot a season-high 54.5% from the field, marking the first time UIC eclipsed 50% shooting this season.
- UIC outscored DePaul in the paint, 46–26, and held the rebounding edge, 40–38.
