CHICAGO (Feb. 16, 2025) – UIC women's tennis put up a strong fight against a competitive Northwestern team on Saturday but ultimately fell 5-2. Despite the result, the Flames had several standout performances that highlighted their depth and determination.

Chicago native Nia Cooper delivered a dominant singles victory, controlling the match from start to finish and showcasing her ability to compete at a high level. Freshman Dongke Liu continued her impressive start to the season, remaining undefeated in singles play and proving to be a key contributor to the lineup.

While the final score didn't fall in UIC's favor, the Flames showed grit and will use this match as a learning experience as they move forward. They'll look to bounce back in their upcoming matches and continue building momentum throughout the season.
