CHARLESTON, S.C. (Feb. 17, 2025) – The UIC baseball team (1-3, 0-0 MVC) closed out the Charleston portion of its season-opening trip Monday with a matinee against The Citadel (2-2, 0-0 SoCon). The Flames took an early lead for the third consecutive game, racing out to a 4-1 lead by the end of the fifth inning thanks to RBI hits from
Will Flanigan,
Jack Snyder, and
Pambos Nicoloudes. The Bulldogs answered with six runs in the sixth to take the lead, and three more in the seventh to put the game out of reach in the late innings.
David Cox gave the Flames five strong innings on the mound, allowing just one earned run while striking out two.
Snyder extended his current hitting streak to three games and tallied his seventh RBI in the last three games.
