ATHENS, Ga. (Feb. 20, 2025) – The UIC baseball team (1-3, 0-0 MVC) continues its southern swing this weekend, as it prepares for a four-game matchup against nationally ranked no. 8 Georgia (4-1, 0-0 SEC). After the series opener was delayed from Thursday to Friday due to weather, the Flames and Bulldogs will play a double-header Friday afternoon before finishing the series with single games Saturday and Sunday.

The Flames have been efficient offensively through the first four games of the season, tallying a .237 team batting average over the weekend in Charleston, S.C.
- Jack Snyder has been red hot with a .571 average and a team-high 1.667 OPS, including a home run and seven RBI in just seven at-bats.
- Jackson Bessette has been consistent, hitting .333 with a .524 OBP, and leads the team in walks (5).
- Will Flanigan is hitting .294 with a team-high two doubles and two RBI, contributing significantly to the offense.
- David Cox has also been efficient, batting .375 with a .500 slugging percentage and scoring one run on three hits.
UIC has had success against Power 4 conference schools in recent history, boasting a 5-2 overall record in 2024 in such games.
