LUBBOCK, Texas (Feb. 19, 2025) – The UIC softball team (4-6) is set to compete in the Jeannine McHaney Memorial Classic hosted by Texas Tech University over the weekend, continuing non-conference action.
The Flames only live streamed game will be against the host, Texas Tech, on Saturday, February 22nd at 12:00 PM CT on ESPN+. Live stats for every game will be available on UICFlames.com

Between the two victories in California, redshirt senior Alyssa McIntosh (Lancaster, Calif./Lancaster) pitched two complete-game shutouts. During the UC San Diego game, McIntosh pitched a three-hit, complete game shutout, striking out four and walking a pair of batters. Then, against Colorado State, McIntosh allowed only four hits and struck out four, while allowing just one walk.

Dee Dee Caskey (Indianapolis, Ind./Bishop Chatard) tied the program record for most hits in a game after going 5-for-5 in the game against Santa Clara. Caskey finished the game with four runs, three RBI's, and a .538 AVG. For the weekend, Caskey finished with nine hits, five RBI's, and a .562 AVG.

Atina'eleila Fonoti (Mililani, Hawaii/Mililani) finished the series with three hits, including two doubles, one RBI, two walks, and a sac-fly.
