ATHENS, Ga. (Feb. 22, 2025) – The UIC baseball team (1-6, 0-0 MVC) continued its series against no. 8 Georgia (7-1, 0-0 SEC) Saturday, as the Flames and Bulldogs played for the third time in just over 24 hours.

After dropping the series-opening doubleheader Friday, the Flames jumped out to a hot start Saturday, plating four runs in the third inning, highlighted by a two-run home run from
Jackson Bessette, his second of the season. The Flames had several offensive chances throughout the remainder of the game, but were unable to maintain their scoring prowess, surrendering 10 unanswered runs to the nationally ranked Bulldogs, falling in game three of the series by a 10-4 final score.
