Baseball Drops Series Finale at No. 8 Georgia Sunday

Flames Return to Chicago for Home Opener This Week

ATHENS, Ga. (Feb. 23, 2025) – The UIC baseball team (1-7, 0-0 MVC) closed out its series with no. 8 Georgia (8-1, 0-0 SEC) Sunday morning, as the two sides met for a 10 a.m. CT first pitch in Athens. The Flames jumped ahead early for the second straight day, as a two-run first inning was highlighted by a Will Flanigan RBI double. The Bulldogs answered back in the home half of the first with four runs, before a Luke Nowak sacrifice fly in the third cut the deficit to 4-3. The Flames were held off the scoreboard for the final four innings, as the Bulldogs tallied five home runs enroute to a 17-3 win in six innings.
