CHICAGO (Feb. 25, 2025) – The UIC baseball team (2-7, 0-0 MVC) opened its home schedule against Division III North Park (0-3, 0-0 CCIW) Tuesday, as the Flames returned home from a 10-day long trip to the friendly confines of Curtis Granderson Stadium. For the third consecutive game, the Flames jumped to an early lead, plating four runs in the first two frames. After a smattering of Vikings single runs, the Flames hit the gas pedal in the late innings, pushing six more across to earn the run rule victory in eight innings.
James Harris led the way offensively for UIC, driving in two runs and tallying two hits on the night.
Terrick Thompson-Allen and
Blake Cowans also notched multi-hit games, while
Lucas Smith reached base three times via walks.

The Flames will head back out on the road this weekend, as they head to Cookeville, Tenn. for a three-game series against Tennessee Tech (6-3, 0-0 OVC) beginning Friday at 3 p.m. CT.
