CHICAGO (Feb. 24, 2025) – The UIC baseball team (1-7, 0-0 MVC) will open the home portion of the 2025 schedule on Tuesday, as the Flames welcome Division III North Park (0-2, 0-0 CCIW) to Curtis Granderson Stadium for a 4 p.m. CT first pitch. The Flames and Vikings will be meeting for the fourth time, with UIC earning victories in each of the first three.

UIC enters a new week after an eight-game, two-week southern swing to start the 2025 season, that saw the Flames face The Citadel, Charleston Southern, and a four-game series against no. 8 Georgia.

• The Flames are hitting .247 as a team, a number that ranks third among all Missouri Valley Conference schools.
• UIC has tallied 34 RBI through eight games, good enough for second in The Valley behind only Indiana State.
• Lucas Smith ranks third in the MVC in on base percentage at .636, and ninth in OPS (1.098).
• Luke Nowak's 10 hits are second most in the conference, and he has the most official at bats (34).
