CHICAGO (Feb. 6, 2025) – The UIC women's tennis team delivered a commanding performance on Tuesday, sweeping Roosevelt 7-0 at XS Tennis Village. The Flames showcased their strength across the lineup, winning all doubles and singles matches in a dominant display.
The Flames set the tone early by securing the doubles point with decisive victories across all three courts. They carried that momentum into singles play, where each player took care of business, sealing the shutout win. Freshman Dongke Liu continued her impressive start to the season, remaining undefeated in singles competition.
"We showed depth in our lineup and good focus today through the whole match," head coach Elizabeth Lumpkin Robinson said. "Each team member took care of their court and had dominant performances. We look forward to building on this and working on our skill set leading up to the tough weekend ahead."
With the win, UIC gains confidence as they prepare for a challenging slate of matches this weekend.
