INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 23, 2025) – The UIC women's basketball team (15-18, 10-10 MVC) was amidst a second half resurgence, before falling to Butler (16-17, 7-13 BIG EAST) in the second round of the 2025 Women's National Invitational Tournament at the Hinkle Fieldhouse Sunday afternoon, 61-54.

Keimari Rimmer (Chicago, Ill./Proviso East/DePaul) led all Flames scorers with 14 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Graduate student
Jaida McCloud (Peoria, Ill./Richwoods) scored 12 points and had four boards with 28 minutes off the bench. Graduate student
Danyel Middleton (Chicago, Ill. /Bolingbrook/Marquette) netted 10 points, grabbed four rebounds and collected a pair of assists.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
- McCloud finishes her career at UIC with 1,603 points, ranking her 4th all-time in program history. She also finished third in program history with free throws made at 453.
- Rimmer finished her time at UIC red hot offensively, scoring in double figures in nine of her final ten games of the season.
- Senior Krystyna Ellew (Chicago, Ill./Taft/Wisconsin) sank a three pointer in the contest, extending her streak of a three-pointer made in the past 15 games. Ellew collected 61 triples over the season, ranking her the eight-most in a single season in program history.
