Baseball Travels to Louisville for Three-Game Weekend Series

Flames Return to Site of Last NCAA Regionals Appearance Beginning Friday Morning

LOUISVILLE, Ky.  – The UIC baseball team (2-10, 0-0 MVC) continues its road trip this weekend, as the Flames will travel to Kentucky for a three-game series at Louisville (9-2, 0-0 ACC).

The Flames will look to improve on their road record this weekend, as UIC makes its first trip to Louisville since playing in the NCAA Regionals in the River City in 2019.
  • The Flames have continued to keep pace in the Missouri Valley Conference in terms of offense, currently ranked fifth overall with a .258 team batting average. UIC also boasts 13 stolen bases on the year, second most in The Valley.
  • Luke Nowak has been a steady presence at the top of the lineup for the Flames, sporting a .318 average over 11 games played.
  • Brandon Bak is scheduled to return to the Flames' rotation this weekend, as he will make his first appearance of the season. Bak led all UIC pitchers last season with 88.2 innings pitched.
