CHICAGO – The UIC baseball team (8-22, 4-5 MVC) will return to road action for the first time since March 26 on Friday, as the Flames are set to open a three-game Missouri Valley Conference series against Murray State (21-8, 5-4 MVC).

• UIC is riding high rolling into this weekend after earning its first MVC series victory over Evansville last weekend.
• Luke Nowak ranks fourth in the Missouri Valley Conference in batting average (.381), and helped propel the Flames to a series-clinching victory over Evansville on Sunday with three hits, three RBI, and three runs scored.
• Dillon Schueler tossed a gem in UIC's series-opening win over the Purple Aces, going a season-long eight innings, surrendering just two earned runs in a 4-2 triumph.
• The Racers enter the weekend series as winners of their last six, including a 38-1 win over Kentucky State at home on Wednesday.
