Chicago, Ill. – The UIC softball team will host the Belmont University Bruins in a three-game Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) series this weekend between April 11-13. Friday's game will begin with a 5:00 PM first pitch. Each game this weekend will be live-streamed on ESPN+, while live stats for all games will be available on UICFlames.com.

HISTORY VS BELMONT

The Flames and Bruins history dates to before 2013, with the Bruins leading the series 10-1. The two sides last met in a neutral site doubleheader in March of 2024, with the Bruins taking home both victories, defeating the Flames 2-0 and 1-0. 

TUESDAY VS VALPARAISO

·      On Tuesday, the Flames traveled to Indiana to take on the Valparaiso University Beacons in a solo MVC contest to close out their three-game series for the season. After a hot start, the Flames secured their second MVC win in a row, defeating the Beacons 3-0.

·      Hailey Cowing went 2-for-4 with a double, one RBI, and a .750 SLG%.

·      Jasmine Whorley earned the win on the mound after pitching five innings while striking out two. 

·      Alyssa McIntosh earned the save, pitching two innings.
