RECAP
The visitors wasted no time picking up runs, scoring one in the first to take the early lead. The Bruins then picked up a run in each of the next three innings, taking a 4-0 lead in the fourth. In the top of the fifth, Jasmine Whorley kept the Bruins from scoring no runs after pitching a three-up, three-down inning. The Bruins added two more runs to their lead in the top of the sixth before the Flames recorded their first runs of the game. Grace Fleming led off the Flames at-bat with a single up the middle before advancing to second on a passed ball. Nina Pesare was then walked before Hailey Cowing hit an RBI single up the middle, bringing in Cowing and putting the Flames on the board. After two outs and runners on second and third, the runners advanced on a passed ball, allowing Pesare to score. The Flames trailed the Bruins 6-2 at the end of the sixth. In the bottom of the seventh, the Flames plated one but were unable to build on momentum, falling to the Bruins 6-3.
