CHICAGO – The UIC baseball team (9-25, 5-7 MVC) will return to Curtis Granderson Stadium for the first time in over 10 days on Friday, as the Flames prepare to welcome Missouri State (19-16, 10-2 MVC) to Chicago.

- The Flames enter the weekend having won three of their last six Missouri Valley Conference games and currently sit in a tie for seventh place with Evansville at 5-7.
- Luke Nowak continues his banner offensive year, as the senior outfielder ranks top five in the MVC in batting average (.375) and stolen bases (13) as the halfway point in the conference schedule nears.
- UIC still maintains a 5-4 record at home this season and will put that on the line against The Valley's top team in the standings in Missouri State.
