Chicago – UIC women's tennis (15-4, 7-1 MVC) closed out the regular season in dominant fashion with a 7-0 sweep on the road at Valparaiso.

The Flames took the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3. Camille Belberka and Edit Cosmo rolled to a 6-2 victory at No. 2, while Nia Cooper and Paula Rodriguez Gregoris picked up a win by default at No. 3. After Valpo claimed the No. 1 doubles match, UIC headed into singles with the early 1-0 lead.

In singles, UIC showed its depth and consistency with straight-set wins across the board—plus a thrilling comeback at No. 1. Mayu Ushio rallied after dropping the first set to take the match in a super tiebreaker, 5-7, 6-1, 10-3. Cosmo also secured a hard-fought win at No. 2 with a 6-2, 7-6(2) result.

Belberka, Cooper, and Anaïs Brion all cruised through their matches in straight sets, and Rodriguez Gregoris added another win by default at No. 6 to lock in the sweep.

UIC finishes the regular season with momentum heading into postseason play.
