CHICAGO – The UIC baseball team (11-26, 7-8 MVC) will make its lone journey to Rocky and Berenice Miller Park on Tuesday, as the Flames will take on Northwestern (17-20, 8-10 B1G) for the third and final time this season.

  • The Flames and Wildcats have split their two meetings this season, with UIC getting the win on March 12 by a 5-2 final score at Curtis Granderson Stadium.
  • UIC had a statement weekend against Missouri State April 18-19, taking two out of three from the top-seeded Bears. The Flames scored eight or more runs in all three games and climbed to a tie for sixth place in the Missouri Valley Conference standings.
  • Lucas Smith has catapulted himself into the leadoff spot in the lineup, thanks in part to his .453 on-base percentage, which ranks eighth in The Valley.

The game can be seen live on B1G+ with a paid subscription but can also be heard free of charge on the Flames Network using the link above, with Jonathan Hood calling all the action from Evanston. Live stats are also available courtesy of Northwestern Athletics.
