EVANSTON, Ill. – The UIC baseball team (11-26, 7-8 MVC) played its final non-conference road game Tuesday afternoon, as the Flames traveled north to take on Northwestern (17-20, 8-10 B1G).

After jumping out to an early 2-0 lead in the first thanks to a
Thomas Curry RBI double and a
Terrick Thompson-Allen RBI single, the Wildcats would tie the game with a run in the second and another in the third.

UIC tallied a run in the fifth as
Curry was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, giving the Flames a 3-2 lead. After four consecutive Wildcats runs to take a 6-3 lead, UIC came roaring back in the top of the eighth to tie the game with three runs, highlighted by an
AJ Taylor solo home run. With a 6-6 tied score heading into the bottom of the ninth, Northwestern got a walk-off solo home run, earning the 7-6 win.
