CHICAGO – The UIC baseball team (6-21, 2-4 MVC) continues its home stand with a return to Missouri Valley Conference play this weekend, as the Flames are set to host reigning MVC Tournament champions Evansville (10-18, 4-2 MVC).

- The Flames will look to earn their first MVC series victory this weekend after going 1-2 in each of their first two this season.
- Lucas Smith leads the Flames in on-base percentage (.468) as well as walks (22) and hit by pitches (4). His .310 average ranks third on the roster, and he is tied for second in doubles with five.
- Redshirt senior infielder James Harris continues to excel offensively this season, ranking second on the team in batting average (.333) and home runs (4).
