Chicago, Ill. – Closing the week at home, the UIC softball team hosts the Murray State University Racers in a three-game Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) series between April 4-6. Game one is scheduled for 1:00 PM on April 4th. For the weekend, only Friday's game will be live-streamed on ESPN+, with Saturday and Sunday radio only, while live stats will be available for all games on UICFlames.com.

HISTORY VS MURRAY STATE
The Flames and Panthers' history dates to 2017, with the Racers leading the series 4-2. The two sides last met on May 8th, 2024, in the opening round of the MVC Championship in Normal, Ill. The game favored the Racers, who walked away with a 10-2 victory over the Flames.
TUESDAY'S DOUBLEHEADER VS VALPARAISO
- · On Tuesday, the Flames hosted the Valparaiso University Beacons in a MVC evening doubleheader. The Beacons came out on top in both games, winning game one 3-2 and game two 3-15 in six innings.
- · Between the two games, Sequoia Sanchez went 3-for-6 with a .500 AVG, two runs, and a .500 SLG%
- · Emma Gumont also went 3-for-6 with a .500 AVG and picked up two doubles, two RBI, one run, and a .833 SLG%
