Chicago, Ill. – With the conclusion of the 2025 regular season, the UIC softball team is now directing all its attention toward the 2025 Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Softball Championships, presented by Catch Des Moines, hosted by Drake University, starting Wednesday, May 7th.
Following a thrilling 11-10 walk-off victory on Sunday against Bradley University, the Flames aim to carry that momentum into the postseason. Entering the championships as the No. 12 seed, the Flames will face the No. 5 Missouri State Bears in game two of the day at 1:00 PM CT.
The winner will advance to face No. 4 Illinois State University on Thursday, May 8th, at 1:00 PM CT.
The MVC Softball Championships, as well as Drake University Athletics, will hold all game information, including updates, opponents, live stream link, live stat links, and box scores. The live stream will also be available on ESPN+, while live stats will be available on UICFlames.com.

HISTORY VS MISSOURI STATE
The Flames opened up MVC play this year against the Bears in a three-game series between March 13th and 15th. The Bears took the series sweep at home as they defeated the Flames 4-3, 13-3 (five innings), and 15-1 (five innings), respectively. This game will mark the Flames and Bears' seventh meeting, with the Bears holding the series 6-0.
