CHICAGO – The UIC baseball team (16-29, 12-9 MVC) will look to continue its recent success this weekend, as the Flames travel to Normal, Ill. for a three-game series at Illinois State (22-24, 11-10 MVC).

• The Flames currently sit in a tie for fourth place in the MVC standings with Belmont, who UIC will host next weekend to close out the 2025 regular season.
• UIC has won three straight games coming into this weekend and has also won its last five conference games.
• Head coach Sean McDermott recorded his 100^th career head coaching victory in UIC's 9-1 win over Valparaiso on Saturday, May 3. McDermott is wrapping up his fourth season at the helm of the UIC baseball program.
• The Flames have a 5.13 staff ERA in Missouri Valley Conference games this season, a mark that ranks second in the conference behind only Murray State (4.93).
• Brandon Bak was named the MVC Pitcher of the Week on Monday after throwing a seven-inning no-hitter to secure the series sweep over Valparaiso on Saturday.
