JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The UIC volleyball (0-2) team battled to the fifth set Saturday afternoon, falling short to Georgia Southern (2-0), 3-2 at the UNF Arena.
Seniors
Ayat Amin (13 kills) and
Beatrice Carulli (12 kills) led the attack for the Flames. Junior
Tamara Kisic and freshman
Sasha Pellettieri chipped in nine kills in the five-match bout. Senior setter
Francesca Venturini paced the offense with a team-leading 27 assists and 10 digs.
