JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The UIC volleyball team (0-3) battled into extra points deep into the deciding set Sunday afternoon, before falling short 3-2 to UNF (1-2) to close out the weekend in the Sunshine State.
Junior
Tamara Kisic led the attack with 13 kills and collected a pair of service aces. In her first collegiate start, freshman
Ana Petrides alongside senior
Beatrice Carulli each tallied a dozen kills in the five-match bout. Senior
Julieta Sandez added 11 kills and four blocking assists.

The Flames are back on the volleyball court next weekend, when they partake in Morehead State's Comfort Inn-vitational from Sept. 5-6. UIC is slated to face-off against host Morehead State, Toledo and Radford in the two-day event.
