CHICAGO – The UIC volleyball team (5-4, 0-0 MVC) kicked off the Chicago Cup with a four-set victory against DePaul (6-4, 0-0 BIG EAST) Friday night in front of the home crowd at Credit Union 1 Arena.
The Flames were powered by seniors
Cleo Lorenzo, Julieta Sandez and
Ayat Amin. Lorenzo led the attack with 15 kills and nine digs, while Sandez added 12 kills on a blistering .800 hitting percentage. Amin chipped in 10 kills and four blocks in the win.
