Evansville, Ind. – Opening up Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) play, the UIC women's soccer team hit the road to take on the Evansville Purple Aces. The game started strong for the Flames (4-5-1, 0-1 MVC) but quickly turned in favor of the Aces (5-2-1, 1-0 MVC) as the home team recorded back-to-back goals late in the first half. With 18 minutes remaining in the game,
Chopper Carriere brought the Flames within one, but it wouldn't be enough as they would fall to the Ace's 2-1.
Action started off strong for the Flames, as they outshot the Aces 5-1 through the first 20 minutes.

With the second half underway, Evansville controlled much of the possession, recording seven shots while holding the Flames to none through most of the half. In the 72
